Nestling Tours 2009 and 2010:

  • Our 2009 Schedule and Trip Catalog are ready to go.  See website or call us for
    catalog.

  • Our small group (6 to 9 participants and we like 8) trips or Covey of Adults will
include trips to nearly every continent.
  • South American (Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, and Peru) destinations with Lelis
Navarrete continue to prove popular.  Lelis is the choice guide for one of the most
prolific bird guide writers in South America and many other experienced South
American bird watcher.  Teamed with one of our hosts, these trips deliver
productive birding and great fun for all.  We will probably add trips to Venezuela
    and Southern Ecuador in 2010.
  • Ted Floyd (author of the Smithsonian Guide to North American Birds and the editor
of Birding Magazine) has indicated he will host our Uganda 2009 trip.  Ted will get
    great support from Johnnie Kamugisha.
  • We will continue to work with Patrick Cardwell and develop trips to South Africa
and Namibia.  Patrick is based in South Africa and uses a host of local birding
guides for each destination.  Look for a Madagascar trip in 2011.
  • Harry Fuller is developing an interesting 2 or 3 week European trip, using local
guides and hitting great birding locales in Spain and Portugal with an extension to
France.  This trip is looking like a 2010 possibility.
  • A trip to Sri Lanka is ready to go for the peak of the Himalayan migrant period in
late February.  With John Drummond as host, this trip is sure to be garner a lot of
interest early on.  Drummond knows the birds there, but will rely on a number of
local guides to mazimize great birding.  This will be an excellent trip.
  • I look forward to developing a family birding festival in Colorado for June or July
2011.  Past Colorado family trips have garnered some attention, and we hope the
festival format will get even more.
  • As of this web version, I know I am missing a few trips, but keep checking here for
    more 2009 plans.
