Few Tips for Dave:  

All our websites have certain design aspects, such
as a consistent header photo for a certain route.  
Also photos down the side, black background for
text, etc..  Most of this comes from our website
design consultant, who helped us redesign the
website a few years ago.

Here are a few tips.  Please ask me if you need more
here.

1. All text with black background can be found in the
color text pastel.  




2. Most headers in the text are in a different color.  




3. Our best example website is the Ecuador website
and the NW Ecuador Websites.  These are included
here for you to use as templates for Panama.  File
names and links here are:

Note 1:  All countries start with a country main page
unless they only have 1 trip or route within their
country.
Note 2:  All international routes have pages b1 to b4.
Note 3:  We may dump the flights page, as no matter
how many times I put this on the website, everyone still
calls to clarify flights.  Maybe a generic
recommendation like this is the best idea.

4. All photos on sides are in the aspect of 1.3333 or 4
to 3.  

5. I never include lodging name in trip description,
unless it is a location everyone goes to, such as
Manu Wildlife Center in Peru or Rio Cristalino in
Brazil.

Dave:  I ended up doing a half-way OK job, tossing up
information and photos I had from Jose Carlos.  I have an OK
start, but really need your help in working with Jose Carlos to
get more information here.
a. Main Panama Page:
  • Just need more sales points about why do these trips.  
    Total species, special species, nice looks at some groups
    like Trogans, Puffbirds, hummers, toucans or endemics
    (or whatever reality is).
  • I would talk with Jose and beef these up with 1 to 3 more
    sentences.

b. Isthmian Route:  4 web pages
  • I really just beefed up first couple days here on the
    details page.  The rest is Jose's work.
  • I would add clarity about early morning starts, and
    clean up English language, complete sentences,
    more bird species.
  • Note:  Check out our old Panama page, as there are
    some species lists by locale, which Jose did not include.  
    Also some more over view information which might be
    helpful in beefing up the main page.

  • Also, please revised this main page.  Again we need
    sales points tucked in, and more content here.
  • Work with Jose Carlos on getting Bios page for Panama
    with his Bio and that of Mahelis Rodriquez.  Photos of
    them as well would be good.
  • All header photos need some work.  Again one for each
    route.  This photo with the Capped Heron is a bit blurry.  
    If you need Panama photo stock, we can also get from
    Bill Maynard; so, maybe we beef up the header photos
    later (when I am back)

c. Full Isthmus Route (with Chriqui Highlands):  3 web pages
  • I really just beefed up nothing here. This is all Jose's
    work.
  • I would add clarity about early morning starts, and
    clean up English language, complete sentences,
    more bird species.
  • Also, please build a main page for this 10 day route here,
    emphasizing why also go to Chiriqui.  Again we need
    sales points tucked in, and more content here.
  • I would add Bio-s Page, but just use same page as above.

  • Also, need seperate header photo here.  Same photos
    for all of these 3 pages, but different from 3 pages for the
    shorter/8 Day trip.

d. I think just a 1 page for Darien Content is fine.  Maybe just a
main page here and details page.  No need for flight page
here.  No need for Bios page here.  I would clean up content so
reads like American English.  New header photo (when the time
comes).

This should keep you plenty busy.
