8 Days Birding in Central Panama
Why go to Panama and only visit the central part of the
country?  Because over 500 species of birds live here
during part of the year.  Three Christmas Bird Counts are
conducted in the area annually - yielding well over 300
species each season.  With a well-guided tour, you can
expect to see that many during this trip.

Central Panama primarily means birding within an hour of
the Canal, so you'll spend less of your valuable time
traveling and more time actually birding.  With hundreds of
birds to be seen within the short drive from Panama City,
you are sure to go away with an impressive number of
additions to your life list, including a good chance at two
endemics: Yellow-green Tyrannulet and Stripe-cheeked
Woodpecker.
