Nestling Tour's Itinerary for Costa Rica:  Quetzal
Extension:  Saturday, March 31

  • Morning birding trek with guide from the hotel, as you seek the
Resplendent Quetzal.   Box breakfast while birding.  Some or all family
members may choose to go on this morning bird trek.

  • After lunch and later that afternoon, families will have a variety of other
family activities to choose from.  All of these activities will be determined by
family choice and are optional.  These activities include:
  • Waterfall hike
  • More hiking through Cloud Forest
  • Horseback riding
  • Pond Fishing for Trout (free but pay for fish you catch)
  • Fly Fishing ($30 per person)
  • Hanging out and enjoying some time together around the lodge.

  • All meals can be arranged at the restaurant at the hotel.

  • Depending upon flight times, additional birding and recreational activities
can be arranged.  For those with early morning Sunday flights, we
recommend an afternoon transfer to a San Jose Hotel.
